Buhari, Bugudu campaign groups reportedly clash in Kebbi

- The campaign groups of President Buhari and the Kebbi state governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu have reportedly clashed in the state

- The disagreement is said to have happened because of underhand plans by the two groups for recognition

- The development has also polarised the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2019 general elections

There was a pandemonium in Kebbi state as the campaign groups of President Mohammadu Buhari and governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu reportedly clashed in the state over underhand plans by the two groups for recognition.

Leadership reports that the disagreement came up as the two rival campaign organisations that are campaigning for the re-election of President Buhari and governor Bagudu.

The groups are the Four Plus Four Group under the leadership of Alhaji Kabiru Giant, and Buhari Bagudu Support Organisation (BBSO) under the leadership of the governor’s personal assistant Faruk Enabo.

The rivalry stemmed from an earlier agreement that all political support groups agitating for the re-election Buhari and Bagudu should collapse their activities into one platform for better management and funding, which the rival groups rejected due to mutual suspension.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Alhaji Danladi Pasali, national coordinator, Buhari campaign organisation said the organisation will compel the president to re-contest in 2019. Pasali said this in Bauchi on Saturday, February 17, while inaugurating BCO northeast zonal secretariat and officials that would run the affairs of the secretariat.
