Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah, has broken the Premier League record for League goals scored in a single season.
Salah's first half strike for Liverpool in their clash against Brighton was the 32nd for the Egyptian and it ensured that he became the first player to score the highest amount of goal in a 38 games English season.
Before the record breaking strike by Salah, Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez have both scored 31 goals respectively.
Alan Shearer was the first among the record holder to congratulate Salah on his record breaking feat via a tweet which reads: "Congratulations @MoSalah on the new goal-scoring record. I enjoyed it while it lasted! ♂️ @premierleague #PLrecord"
And in the 84th minutes when Salah was substituted, the home fans gave a standing ovation to their new cult hero.
