Festus Keyamo, Senior Advocate of Nigeria and spokesperson for President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 campaign organisation, has described the oncoming election as “a battle between forces of darkness and light.”
He made the comment on his Twitter handle, @fkeyamo, on Thursday, May 10.

Legit.ng notes that Keyamo also described the 2019 polls as a battle between the forces of corruption and patriots.
He opined that the poll is not just a contest for power; if not, people like him would not leave their comfort zone to take on the task.
"The 2019 election is not just a contest for power. If it were to be so, some of us would not come out of our comfort zone to take on this task. It is a battle between forces of corruption and patriots; between the ‘tin gods’ of Nigeria and the masses; between the forces of darkness and light," Keyamo wrote.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a day after his appointment as the director of strategic communications for the Buhari campaign organisation, senior lawyer, Festus Keyamo revealed the reasons he decided to accept the offer announced in a letter on Tuesday, April 17.
Keyamo said this in a lengthy response to the shades of opinions that greeted his appointment. He revealed that he was actually consulted before the appointment and that he accepted it for the good of Nigeria and for posterity.
