- Liverpool midfielder Emre Can could miss the 2017/18 Champions League final
- He is battling to be fit and has not started training since March when he got injured
- Already Joe Gomez will not be part of Liverpool squad that will face Real Madrid
Liverpool star Emre Can is reportedly losing his fight to be fit for the final of the 2017/18 Champions League where his side will face Real Madrid in Ukraine.
Since suffering an injury on March 17 in Liverpool's 5-0 win against Watford, the 24-year-old has not played a game since then.
He is yet to start training according to the latest report by Daily Star UK, and there is now panic at Anfield that he could be out of the Champions League final.
Already, Liverpool have given up the hope of Emre Can playing again this season in the Premier League, but the Reds need his service in the midfield against star studded Real Madrid.
He has been undergoing treatment in Germany and had hoped to start training this week in a bid to prove his fitness for the final.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how England international Joe Gomez has been ruled out of Liverpool’s Champions League final against Real Madrid in Kiev.
The 20-year-old suffered a knock in the Reds goalless affair against Stoke City in their Premier League encounter late last month.
Having undergone surgery after the injury, he has missed the club’s last three games including their slim defeat to Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge last weekend.
