Zidane says he will quit Real Madrid if Hazard is not signed

- Zinedine Zidane has threatened to resign if Real Madrid does not sign Hazard

- The Belgium international has been an admirer of Zidane for a while

- Los Blancos are currently chasing their third successive Champions League title

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has reportedly issued an ultimatum to President Florentino Perez to sign Eden Hazard or he walks away, Don Balon reports.

The dazzling Chelsea winger has long been a target of Los Blancos and with the present situation at Stamford Bridge a better opportunity may not come up again.

The 2016/17 Premier League champions surrendered the title to Manchester City and are presently struggling to make the top four.

Despite overcoming Liverpool in a 1-0 victory over the weekend, a top four finish is still out of their hands, as they are almost destined to play Europa League football next season.

Hazard's calibre craves for Champions League football and he joined Chelsea simply because of their pedigree in the competition when they won it 2012.

In addition, Zidane has never hidden his admiration for the Belgium international but the Frenchman has been frustrated by the lack of progress made on a deal.

Despite the endless rumours and the occasional flirt about a possible switch to Spain both clubs have not been able to officially speak on the issue.

However, the Spanish media outlet claims Zidane has laid down the law on his bosses by demanding Hazard’s signature or else his own resignation.

Reports have it Perez would rather prefer to land Neymar from Paris Saint Saint-Germain but Zidane is not a fan of the Brazilian because of the controversy that comes with it.

Zidane is yet to be knocked out of the Champions League since he became manager of the Bernabeu outfit.

Los Blancos are chasing their third successive Champions League crown having won it back-to-back in the last two seasons.

The Spanish giants became the first team to successfully defend the prize since the new format of the competition was introduced in 1992/93 season.

The last team to win the European Cup three times in succession was Bayern Munich which was between 1974-76.

The last time Real lost in the final of an European competition was in 1981 and ironically it was against Liverpool.
