- Suarez and Messi scored for Barca while Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale were the goals scorers for Los Blancos

- Barcelona were reduced to 10 men in the game as Sergi Roberto was shown a red card

- But Messi was said to have insulted the referee as he demanded an explanation from him for the red card

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi was reportedly furious at referee Hernandez Hernandez for sending Sergi Roberto out in Sunday’s El Clasico clash at the Camp Nou.

Goals from Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, and Gareth Bale ensured both sides shared spoils at the end of the match, with Barcelona extending their unbeaten run to 35 games this season.

The Argentine international was said to have demanded explanation from the match official for sending his teammate out of the game on the stroke of half time.

And according to reports in Spain, the Argentine said: "You s***, you s***, and you s***, it's good to give them things."

Meanwhile, Los Blancos captain Sergio Ramos claims the five time ballon d’Or mounted pressure on the referee while the two teams were in the tunnel.

The 32-year-old Spaniard further stated football related activities must be respected and must not be taken off the pitch.

"Messi has put pressure on him in the tunnel, I do not know if that would have made him whistle differently in the second half.

"It's football and everything has to be left inside the field, as long as it's not going to hurt, you have to respect it."

However, in spite of playing without Roberto for 45 minutes, the hosts regain leadership through Lionel Messi in the 52nd minute but Gareth Bale’s 72nd minute goal saved the visitors from losing their second straight defeat to Barca this season.

With this victory, Ernesto Valverde’s men maintained their 15 points lead over their arch rivals after 35 round of games.

Barcelona crashed out of this year’s Champions League at the quarterfinal stage but crowned their season with a double – La Liga title and the Copa Del Rey.

They will face Real Sociedad, Villarreal and Levante for the remainder of their games this season.
