- Deulofeu reveals to Dani Ceballos he was frustrated by Lionel Messi
- The 24-year-old left Nou Camp for a retutrn to the Premier League
- Barcelona will play Real Madrid in a Liga fixture at Nou Camp
On loan Barcelona star Gerard Deulofeu has told Real Madrid ace Dani Ceballos that Lionel Messi forced him out of the club, Diario Gol reports.
The Watford player jumped at another chance to make a Premier League return after joining the Hornets on loan in January.
The Spain international only managed to make 10 appearances for Barca having returned to his boyhood club last summer from AC Milan.
According to Spanish media outlet, Diario Gol, Deulofeu has been complaining to Real Madrid youngster Ceballos about his treatment in Catalonia.
The duo are close pals from their time together in the Spanish U-20 national team set-up and the 24-year-old has spilled the beans.
He reportedly said he has not been in good terms with Lionel Messi either on the pitch or in the dressing room.
Deulofeu is now adamant that the five-time Balon d'Or winner and other senior players are trying to get him sold.
Having completed his move to the Premier League earlier this season Deulofeu said he was happy to have left the Nou Camp.
He said: “I’m not a player who wants to stay on the bench or not be in the squad.
“When I joined Barcelona I knew Neymar was in the team.
“Then he goes and in comes Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho. So my solution is to come here and regain my confidence.
“I have to play more minutes for my options for the national team. And I enjoy the style of the Premier League.
“Maybe La Liga has better players with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but this league is special.”
With the help of Messi's brace against Deportivo La Caruna last weekend Barcelona have been crowned champions of La Liga.
Messi has scored 32 goals in Barca's unbeaten run in the league as they prepare to face the fiercest rival Real Madrid in the El Clasico.
