Drama erupted at a wedding in Ruiru on Saturday, April 28, when a scorned woman claiming to be the groom's estranged wife stormed the venue.
Elizabeth Wairimu who pensively sat at the reception room of St Mathews ACK Church had one mission in mind — to disrupt the ceremony.
Wairimu who was accompanied by her daughter and sister accused the groom of a series of unprintable ills among them infecting her with a sexually transmitted disease.

They claimed the man threw Wairimu out of her matrimonial home after he met Alice Wanjiru, the bride.
"The reason we are here is not because we want to stop this wedding, we really do not want to stop the wedding. It has already happened. We know the constitution. He can have as many wives as he can. We just want to let the people know.
He killed his first wife with AIDs, he infected his son with AIDs and then he threw my sister out, shouted the jilted woman."
The scorned woman also claimed she had taken a loan in order to contruct the house which the man now lives with his new catch.

But as all the drama played out, the bride in her white gown was staring from her car and later decided to drive away refusing to answer questions from the journalists.
Her would-be husband had not arrived at the time and many suspected he could have been aware of what awaited him.
Interestingly, as the wedding aborted, guests chose to enjoy the meal that had been prepared.
