- Mourinho says he does not know if Lukaku will play the FA Cup final with Chelsea
- The Belgian striker was replaced by Rashford after suffering injury against Arsenal
- Manchester United defeated Arsenal by 2-1 in a Premier League match at Old Trafford
Jose Mourinho has admitted Romelu Lukaku could miss the FA Cup final against Chelsea after he got injured in Manchester United's 2-1 in victory against Arsenal.
Lukaku was replaced by Marcus Rashford and the Belgian striker was in clear pain as he was helped off the field at Old Trafford.
Mourinho stated that United are yet to know the extent of damage and the striker will be assessed by doctors.
"I don't know if he is going to be out.
"Or if he's not okay. He wants to play all the time. He is never tired and, when he has small things, he doesn't care. He still wants to go.
"So, for him to say immediately, to change him, it is because he couldn't play. But there are three more weeks until the final, so let's see. I know it was on his foot but I don't know more yet.
"I don't think it's something, or I hope it's not, that in this moment keeps him immediately out of a game that is in three weeks' time. But I don't know. I never, when I finish a game and a player is injured, immediately go for good or bad news. I wait a bit more," Mourinho said, when asked about the situation.
With three games left to play United are on course to finish in second place, their best since Sir Alex Ferguson, retired from the club.
Mourinho's side were knocked out of the Champions League quarter finals by Spanish side Sevilla following a 2-1 aggregate result.
The Red Devils will take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final for the a chance to win the last silverware in top flight football in England.
