- Zinedine Zidane has said that Benzema and Gareth Bale will not leave this summer
- The Frenchman stated clearly that they are part of his plans for next season
- Bale and Benzema have been linked with a move away from Real Madrid at the end of the season
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has reportedly insisted that Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale will not be leaving the club at the end of the ongoing season in La Liga.
These two players have been seriously linked with a move away from Los Blancos this summer with many clubs like Arsenal and Manchester United queuing for their signatures.
Bale’s relationship with Zinedine Zidane has reportedly broken down as the Welsh star struggles for game time with the Spanish giants.
Benzema on the other hand has also been subject to criticism this season over his performances as he slides down the pecking order under his compatriot.
''We need them and I’ll do everything possible so that they’re not affected by what’s been said outside. They’ll stay with us.
“I know all our players want to play, but it isn’t possible.
“The message is for everyone, not just Bale and Benzema, that we’re sticking together because there’s a month left of the season and we have it all to do,'' the Frenchman was quoted to have said by Daily Star.
Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema are now expected to face German club Bayern Munich in their Champions League semi final second leg clash on Tuesday, May 1.
Previously, Legit.ng had reported how Real Madrid proved they are strong contenders for a third straight Champions League title as they defeated Bayern Munich by 2-1 at the Allianz Arena.
The Bavarians started the game brightly as Kimmich gave them the lead. But that did not last for long as Marcelo equalized for Real Madrid just before half time.
At the start of the second half, Real Madrid took the lead through Asensio and the current Champions League champions held on to claim the victory.
