After the success of its first two editions of Food and Drink Fair, one of Nigeria's leading financial institutions, GTBank, will be holding the 2018 edition of the event from Sunday, April 29 till Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
Nigeria's foremost commercial bank, Guaranty Trust bank, has said it will be holding the third edition of GTBank Food and Drink Fair.
This was disclosed by the bank's head of corporate affairs and external communication, Oyinade Adegbite, during a press briefing as its head office in Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday, April 27.
Adegbite said: "The vision behind the initiative remains the same. It is to provide a free business platform for small businesses. It's about creating consumer platform that creates and draws consumers and allows small businesses to showcase their abilities.
"This year, we have an interesting lineup of chefs both local and international. And we also have about 150 small businesses, from farmers to people doing food processing."
Legit.ng notes that small businesses in the country's food sector and thousands of food lovers will be brought together through this initiative.
The participants at the press briefing were bestselling author and food network personality, Sunny Anderson, Raphael Duntoye and Chef Benedict, amongst others
Adegbite stated that two headliner chefs, Sunny Anderson and Raphael Duntoye, will grace the 3-day event, which will hold at plot 1-3, Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Lagos.
According to GTBank, this year's fair will offer the best culinary experience in Lagos and beyond. The bank added that there will be a space for street food, which will offer the best of local delicacies, as well as farmer's market where SMEs involved in agriculture will sell fresh and organic farm produce.

The bank said that the fair is free for all to attend, adding that it will provide small businesses with a free and vibrant platform to connect with a wider segment of their target markets as well as experts in the business fields.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Guaranty Trust Bank expressed its gratitude to the chefs, over 140 small businesses and all the guests for contributing to the overwhelming success of the 2017 GTBank Food and Drink Fair.
