French stars at Barcelona have reportedly concluded plans to convince Antoine Griezmann to join the Catalan club at the end of this season.
The 27-year-old scored for Atletico Madrid in their 1-1 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in Thursday’s Europa League semifinal first leg clash.
Although, he is wanted by Premier League side, Manchester United with Jose Mourinho planning to rebuild his team ahead of the coming season.
The trio of Lucas Digne, Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele are said to have sent messages to the winger to join them at the Camp Nou.
Griezmann has a running contract with the Mattressers until the summer of 2022 but might use the exit door as he has been heavily linked with the Red Devils all season long.
Ernesto Valverde has also shown interest in signing the former Real Sociedad forward, who isn’t sure of where his future lies in the coming season.
After rescuing his Spanish League side from losing yesterday night, the France international said he doesn’t know if he would continue at Wanda Metropolitano next term.
He told COPE: “If I'm going to continue at Atletico, I don't know, we'll see. We're talking to the club to see what can be done.”
The 27-year-old started out at Real Sociedad as a youth player in 2005, he got promoted to the team’s senior team in 2009 and spent five seasons at the club with 46 goals from 180 matches.
He signed up with Atletico in a deal worth €30 million in 2014 and since then has been on fire for the club, scoring 79 in 141 encounters.
Griezmann has scored 31 goals for Diego Simeone’s side in all competitions this season.
