Breaking: Senate summons President Buhari over Benue killings

Moved by the killings of two priests and 17 worshipers in a Catholic church in Benue state, the Nigerian Senate has resolved to summon President Muhammadu Buhari to address the legislature on the spate of killings in the country.

However, the senators agreed to hold a joint session with the House of Representatives on the matter.

Going further, the senators expressed their reservations about the competence of security chiefs and the need to declare a state of emergency in the states experiencing security crises, Punch reports.
