- Chelsea are leading the pack to sign Elseid Hysaj from Napoli
- Man United and Liverpool have been linked to the defender
- Conte's side still have an outside chance of making top four
Chelsea are leading other Premier League clubs for the signature of Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj, The Sun reports.
The 24-year-old has bee getting interest from Europe's elite club including Manchester United and Liverpool.
According to Sportitalia, the Albanian international has a £43.72m release clause and the Blues are reportedly the closest to sealing the deal for the full-back.
The London club claimed Hysaj's agent has met with Stamford Bridge chiefs in person on multiple occasions to make discussions for a move.
Hysaj is a versatile player who is most comfortable at right back but has shown he can fill in the void in the back line.
The former Empoli star has played six of his 38 starts in the right back position for the club following the injury to Faouzi Ghoulam.
Chelsea are also searching for another right back with Antonio Conte switching between Victor Moses and the struggling Davide Zappacosta.
The Italian has failed to cement his Chelsea's starting XI in a disappointing debut season at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea still have a slim chance in making the Premier League top four if Liverpool and Tottenham drop points in their last four games.
Conte's side made it through to the FA Cup finals after defeating Southampton 2-0 in the Wembley showdown over the weekend.
The Stamford Bridge outfit be playing against Mourinho's side, Manchester United, in a season finale for a chance to win the final silverware in topflight football in England.
