- Former Real Madrid star Ronaldo was at LA Galaxy to pay Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his teammates a visit
- The two superstars posed for pictures while they exchange shirts
- He (Ronaldo) wishes the team all the best in their title contention in the MLS this season
Brazil legend Ronaldo lit up LA Galaxy’s dressing after paying their new signing, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his teammates a courtesy visit.
The 36-year-old joined the Major League side in March after falling out of favour with coach Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Ibrahimovic had renewed his contract by one year with the Red Devils last summer but Alexis Sanchez’s arrival from Arsenal in January froze him out of the club totally.
However, barely two months after arriving at the StubHub Center, he has attracted the attention of the former Real Madrid star.
Ronaldo also wishes the team all the best in their campaign in the Major League Soccer this season, urging them to go on and win silverware this term.
The two legends however posed for pictures after exchanging jerseys in the dressing room before the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid striker was introduced to the star-struck squad on Tuesday.
Ronaldo said on his instagram handle: “Great to see you @iamzlatanibrahimovic! Good luck in this season and hope to be back for the playoffs.”
Galaxy head coach Sigi Schmid while receiving the Brazilian jokingly asked him to join the squad before he hilariously responded: “Okay, let me train a little bit more. For the playoffs maybe I come back without 10 kilos.”
The former Paris Saint Germain earlier in the week is already having a swell time in America with the series of stars he has been meeting in recent times.
Earlier in the week, he benefited from his move to Los Angeles as he continued to meet high-profile celebrities and fellow athletes.
The striker met with compatriot and boxer Badou Jack and was also able to meet celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa at his Beverly Hills restaurant on Monday as he continues to live the high life in America.
Since joining LA Galaxy, Ibrahimovic has scored three goals in four games with two of those strikes coming in spectacular fashion against Los Angeles FC on his debut as he helped his side secure a tremendous comeback victory.
Ibrahimovic only joined his major League Soccer side in March and he has scored three goals in three matches – two of those goals came in their 4-3 win over Los Angeles FC in his debut fixture.
He has represented top European clubs and has won prestigious titles and awards during his illustrious football career.
Topping the list of awards the Swedish striker won was the Europa League title which he won with Manchester United in the 2016-17 season.
He also won the EFL Cup that same season with several other League titles at the various clubs he has played for until now.
