- Manchester City goalie Ederson wants to score before the end of the season

- With four games to go this term, Manchester City have already won the League

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has explained that he would love to score a Premier League goal before the end of the ongoing EPL season in England.

The 24-year-old Brazilian star has been impressive since he joined Manchester City last summer from Benfica and he has already helped the Citizens to win the League titlle this term with 4 games to go.

Earlier in the season, Ederson was reported to have said that he can play in the midfield, but he has now set his target on getting his name on the score-sheet this season.

On Sunday, April 22, Gabriel Jesus missed a penalty against Swansea, and Ederson claimed that he would have scored if he had the chance to take the kick.

''I heard them chanting my name, asking me to take the penalty, but Gabriel went there.

''Unfortunately he missed it and Bernardo Silva fortunately scored, but if the manager had asked me to go there, I would have definitely scored.

''I'm not sure if I would be able to do set-pieces, but I'm good at penalties, either using power or technique when I'm shooting.

''City have their regular penalty takers and we have good options, but if Pep asks me to take it, I'm there. Hopefully it will happen before the end of the season, I'd like to score.' he told ESPN.

Born on August 17, 1993, Ederson started his career at São Paulo in 2008 before joining Portuguese side Benfica where he spent two seasons as junior.

In 2012, he moved from Ribeirão to Rio Ave and later rejoined Benfica in 2015 and was assigned to the reserves before debuting for the first team, with whom he would win four major titles in two seasons.

After the end of the 2016–17 season, he joined English club Manchester City for £35 million, becoming the most expensive goalkeeper of all-time in terms of the nominal value of pound sterling at the time of his transfer.
