West Brom force Liverpool to 2-2 draw in Premier League tie

- Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, April 21, were forced to a 2-2 draw by West Brom

West Brom Albion on Saturday afternoon, April 21, produced a stunning comeback in the history of the Premier League football forcing Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at the Hawthorns.

Liverpool will have themselves to blame for getting a point in this match as they allowed West Brom to score two goals within the space of nine minutes.

West Brom even had the chance to win the match at the death, but Chris Brunt's powerful shot was parried away by Liverpool goalie Loris Karius.

Liverpool scored the first goal in the 4th minute through Danny Ings who was superbly set up by Georginio Wijnaldum.

The hosts tried all they could to restore parity before the end of the first half, but Liverpool defenders were impressive in their department.

Mohamed Salah netted the second goal for Liverpool in the 72nd minute after a wonderful assist by Alex Chamberlain.

West Brom pulled one back in the 79th minute through Jake Livermore before Solomon Rondon scored the second goal that gave them a point in the 88th minute as the match ended 2-2.

A win for Liverpool in this tie would have boosted their morale ahead of their UEFA Champions League semi final first leg tie against Italian side Roma.
