“The general public is advised to always give useful and timely information to the security agencies for prompt action,” the statement concluded.

Meanwhile, the chairman of Takum local government area, Shiban Tikari, has faulted a statement by the army that two suspects, Danjuma America and Danasabe Gasama who were arrested in Takum were perpetrators of crises in the Takum and Ussa council areas of the state.

Tikari who accused the military of harassing people in troubled areas, said instead of going after their attackers, troops had been withdrawn from various checkpoints in the local government.

“We have told them the routes the attackers are using to attack us, but rather than go to these areas and arrest the armed Fulani militia attacking us, they have been busy harassing our people. As we speak, the Commanding Officer of the 93 Battalion Takum, Lt. Col. Ibrahim Gambari, has withdrawn all soldiers at various checkpoints in Takum LGA,” he told journalists.
