Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is reportedly heading to Real Madrid this summer.
The Spanish League giants are plotting to launch a new bid for the shot stopper after their initial effort to sign him in the summer of 2015 hit the rocks on the last day of the transfer window.
However, Los Blancos are said to be planning to offer the 27-year-old an offer he might not be able to reject when this season ends next month.
De Gea’s contract with the Red Devils expire in 2019 yet, he has not signed a new contract with the Old Trafford outfit with less than one month to the end of this current season.
Meanwhile, Spanish publication, Don Balon claims Spain international will join the Galacticos after spending seven solid seasons at the EPL side.
The publication also believes both teams have been in secret talks over the future of the goalkeeper, adding that an agreement has been reached.
Don Balon revealed that De Gea’s agent Jorge Mendes, who also represents Jose Mourinho, has been pushing United to agree a deal with Real ahead of the summer transfer window.
After the disappointing 1-0 loss to relegation threatened West Bromwich Albion over the weekend, United are back in action on Wednesday, as they face Bournemouth in their midweek Premier League clash.
De Gea joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2011 for a fee of €25 million and he has been one of their best players so far.
He was instrumental to their Europa League triumph last term as they also won the EFL cup in Jose Mourinho’s first season at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old also won a Premier League title in the 2012-13 season, with one FA Cup title and three Community Shields.
While at Atletico Madrid, he won the Europa and the UEFA Super Cup titles.
De Gea has kept 91 clean sheets in 233 Premier League appearances in his eight year reign at the club. He can boast of 16 clean sheets in 33 league games this term.
