The nursing officer in charge of theatre Stanley Limo told TUKO..co.ke Kesis was admitted to the facility on Wednesday, April 11 at about 5.30pm while in labour.

"After a series of checksups, she was taken to the caesarian section of the theatre after the medical examination had revealed that she could not give birth through the normal route," said Limo.

The baby is probably the worlds heaviest baby to be born.

He added that the mother and baby were recuperating well and were in stable condition at the health facility.

He said that the mother has a history of giving birth to big babies all through.

"The three other children were delivered through the normal way even though they were overweight. The first born weighed 3.5Kgs, the second born was weighing 5.1Kgs, the third was weighing 2.7Kgs but the fourth one shocked us because she was weighing 6Kgs," said the nurse.

"Assisted by my other professional nurses we only took 45 minutes to conclude the delivery," added Limo.

He said that they suspected that she might be suffering from blood sugar.

"We are happy that my daughter has brought forth my grandchild, even though it was a tense time, I thank the nurses for working tirelessly and conducting a safe delivery," the baby’s grandmother Eunice Chemoss said.

In May 2015, a 37-year-old mother Carolyne Chemutai gave birth to probably the World's heaviest baby who weighed 6.3 Kgs then at the same facility.

As reported by TUKO.co.ke, Chemutai who hails from Masindet village on the outskirts of Kapsokwony town, gave birth to the overweight baby through normal delivery.
