Premier League champions Chelsea are reportedly planning to offer Eden Hazard to Real Madrid in exchange for two star players.

The 27-year-old is one of the major targets Los Blancos are hoping to sign this summer in a bid to beef up their squad ahead of the coming season.

However, the Blues, who are finding it difficult to hold on to their star player have resolved to take advantage of the situation to dictate the terms of the deal to the Spanish League outfit.

According to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Madrid are desperate to sign the Belgian attacker at the end of this season, but the Stamford Bridge side will only allow Hazard leave if they get Gareth Bale and Dani Ceballos in the deal.

The former Tottenham Hotspur’s man has been on the radar of Manchester United all season long, with Jose Mourinho planning to strengthen his squad for the 2018-19 season.

Meanwhile, Ceballos is also tipped to quit the Santiago Bernabeu having failed to get regular playing time at the club under Zinedine Zidane.

Zinedine Zidane’s side are however not interested in Chelsea’s proposition and Real chiefs are split on the proposal.

Hazard has a contract with his present club until the summer of 2020, and all efforts to get him sign a new deal at the club has been unproductive.

He joined the Blues in July 2012 from French League side, Lille in a £31.50 million deal, and has won one Europa League, two Premier League titles among other domestic trophies in his time at the Bridge.

However, they return to action this weekend when they travel to Southampton in the Premier League’s early kick-off (12:30pm) after a disappointing 1-1 draw against West Ham United on Sunday, April 8.
