- Rashford receives a trainers as gift from Cristiano Ronaldo
- The 20-year-old took to social media to appreciate the gesture
- The England striker has been advised to leave Old Trafford
Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has taken to social media to show off a gift he recently received from Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo.
The England international was lucky enough to receive a pair of Nike Air Max 97 CR7 Red trainers which he proudly posted on his Instagram.
The Portuguese captain Ronaldo worked with the huge sports brand to produce the limited edition shoes.
The design and colour draws inspiration from the former Manchester United's youth when he only had two pairs of shoes for school.
Because of his love for the round leather game, the Real Madrid star's mother had to keep patching up the shoes every time they got holes, hence their patchwork design.
The trainers are worth an eye-watering £145 and also carry Ronaldo's 'CR7' seal on the heel inside a golden stamp.
Rashford shared a snap of his trainers on Instagram with the caption: "Thanks for the gift @Cristiano."
Newcastle legend Micky Quinn has told Rashford to quit Manchester United to seek more first team football with other clubs.
He told TalkSport: "I think he’s gotta go. He’s not a first choice for Jose Mourinho. He is not first choice."
The 20-year-old academy graduate was left unhappy after being substituted in the recent Manchester Derby played at the Etihad.
According to Daily Star, a number of top Premier League sides are seeking for the talent of the England striker including Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Rashford made his senior debut for United under the tutelage of Louis Van Gaal in the Europa League against Midtjylland scoring a brace in the 5-1 win.
