A presidency source has confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari will leave Nigeria for London on Monday, April 9, to commence his annual leave.
According to the source, President Buhari is leaving early to enable him rest before participating in the 25th commonwealth heads of government meeting, also known as CHOGM 2018, to be held at the Buckingham Palace, St James’s Palace, and Windsor Castle, Daily Sun reports.

Legit.ng reported earlier that President Buhari is reportedly scheduled to visit London to attend CHOGM which will take place between 16th-20th April 2018.
Nigeria is one of countries that make up the commonwealth, a diverse community of 53 nations that work together to promote prosperity, democracy and peace.
The last time Buhari visited London was in September 2017. Femi Adesina, his special adviser on media and publicity, had disclosed that the president would spend four days in London before returning to Nigeria.
However, the president's aide did not give the actual reason Buhari was in London.
According to him, “We just landed in London. The president is in transit; to be back in Nigeria on Monday."
President Buhari on Thursday, September 21, departed New York for London. According to report, the president was going to London to see his doctors on Saturday, September 23, for a scheduled medical appointment.
