Man recounts how he prevented a python attack in Bayelsa state

A Bayelsan community has Douglas Preye to thank, for his great act of bravery

A Nigerian graduate and his neighbours have cause to celebrate and show gratitude to God for what they describe as divine protection over their lives. Earlier on, reported the news of how a Nigerian man discovered a cobra in his toilet bowl.

Well, yet another group of people have experienced the same thing only this time, it was a python. A Nigerian man identified as Douglas Preye has taken to the social media platform to share the story of how he killed a huge python that had been living in his environs for a long time.

Sharing photos of the defeated snake, he wrote: "Our Security & Well-being Is In The Hands Of God As He Alone Protect And Watches Over Us, Even When We Are Ignorant About The Dangerous & Evil Things Around Us. Just Killed This Dangerous Creature That Has Been Living With Us In Our Environ For Only God Knows How Long. Indeed You Are A Miracle Working God"

While snakes are generally perceived as dangerous thus the need to kill them on sight, some people however, take them in as pets and even go as far as domesticating them.

Nigerian socialite and club owner, Pretty Mike, is one of them. He had taken to social media to reveal he owns a snake and even went as far as naming the reptilian creature after OAP, Toke Makinwa.
