The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) yesterday released a statement saying the results of the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 111,981 candidates were doubtful and would not be released until after an official inquiry.
The statement by the Head, Public Affairs, Dr Fabian Benjamin said: “After viewing all CCTV footage during the conduct of the UTME and considering reports from our supervisors, monitors and other independent Nigerians, who took interest in promoting the quality of public examination in Nigeria the exam results for 1,502,978 candidates, were released. But results for 111,981 candidates were withheld for further screening.”

Legit.ng had reported that Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) said it had released the results of 1,502,978 candidates who sat for 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The board disclosed this in a statement signed by its head of media, Dr Fabian Benjamin in Abuja on Tuesday, March 20. According to the statement, the board released the results after viewing all CCTV footage during the conduct of the examination and also after considering reports from its supervisors who monitored the exercise.
