When it comes to music in Nigeria, it has become expected that names like Wizkid and Davido will be mentioned. But there are other musicians that are also doing equally well. One of them is gospel star Frank Edwards.

1. He was born in Enugu state, Nigeria on July 22, 1990
Also known as Rich Boy, he is a contemporary Christian singer, songwriter and recording artist. He was also born into a family of seven.
2. He reportedly began singing at the age of ten
Several reports say Frank began singing at the young age of ten. He also learned to play the piano from his father at a young age.
3. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome played a role in his rise
Unconfirmed reports say it was in Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Christ Embassy that he got his start as a professional musician. Frank himself has severally spoken about the impact of Pastor Chris in his life.

4. He has more than four albums to his name
Frank’s debut album The Definition was released in 2008. Angels on the Runway his second album was released in 2010 and another one Unlimited in 2011. So far he has at least five albums to his name.
5. He has worked with American gospel star Don Moen
According to Frank, he only wanted to take a photo with Don Moen but to his amazement, the gospel icon recognised him immediately and he brought out his phone and began to play his songs. From there, a spark was born in the two of them which culminated in a joint album released in 2016.
6. He also owns a record label
Having found individual success, he created his own record label named Rocktown Records to give other upcoming acts a chance. At some point, the following musicians were on the label’s books Gil, Divine, King BAS, Nkay, and David.
