Isco set to dump Real Madrid for Chelsea in the summer

Premier League champions Chelsea are reportedly planning to sign Isco from Real Madrid this summer.

The 25-year-old, who joined Los Blancos from Malaga in the summer of 2013, is one of the key players that helped coach Zinedine Zidane win back to back Champions League titles in the last two seasons.

However, having featured for the Galacticos 23 times this year, the Spaniard is open to leaving the Santiago Bernebau at the end of the season in search of more playing time under Zidane.

The former Valencia player has scored netted six goals and six assists in all competitions this time out, yet, Spanish news outlet, Don Balon, believes Isco’s future at the Spanish capital is in doubt.

Don Balon added that the midfielder has been contacted by Chelsea and Manchester City, in a bid to lure him away from the club this summer.

The English champions are hoping to reunite the 25-year-old with his former teammate, Alvaro Morata at the Stamford Bridge next season.

Blues reckon the Real star would slot in perfectly at Stamford Bridge alongside his former team-mate Alvaro Morata.

Meanwhile, Real president Florentino Perez is said to be planning to include Isco in a player-plus-cash deal for Tottenham talisman Harry Kane, and the English striker is not ruling out a chance to join the Spanish League giants in the future.

Having featured for just eight minutes in their 2-1 victory over Paris Saint Germain at the Parc Des Princes in Tuesday’s Champions League clash, the player will be hoping he can make starting lineup when thy battle Eibar on Saturday, March 10.

He also has about 11 more games to equal his last season’s 10-goal record in the Spanish topflight after scoring 12 goals altogether in the 2016/17 season.
