Barcelona, Arsenal, and Tottenham are all in the race to sign Toulouse defender Issa Diop.

The 21-year-old is currently the hottest prospect going into the summer transfer window, with Barcelona keeping a close eye on Diop’s development.

According to Spanish media Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have monitored Diop a number of times this season as they prepare a potential move for the youngster.

Presently, two north London rivals, Arsenal and Tottenham are also showing a strong interest in the young Frenchman.

Diop has done enough to excite onlooking scouts despite Toulouse difficult campaign in Ligue 1 as they are just one point away from the relegation zone.

The 21-year-old the centre-half has made 77 appearances for Toulouse and has worn the captain’s arm-band for his boyhood club on a number of occasions.

The France Under-21 international was impressive when Toulouse narrowly lost to Ligue 1 defending Champions, Paris St-Germain earlier this month after given unenviable task to stop Neymar.

Diop qualifies to play for Morocco at the World Cup this summer and has been personally contacted by coach Herve Renard.

However, Diop’s dream is to break into the France senior national side after representing his nation at all the youth levels from U-16 to U-21.
