Liverpool thrash Porto 5 - 0 in Champions League clash

- Liverpool have defeated Porto 0- 5 in their Champions League first leg clash at the Estadio do Dragao

Liverpool have defeated Porto 0 - 5 in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash at the Estadio do Dragao.

Both team head into the clash with massive away win in their domestic League.

In-form Mohamed Salah doubled Liverpool's lead just four minutes after Mane's strike as he was in the right place at the right time to pounce on the rebound inside the box and gleefully rifled the ball home.

As at the end of the first 45 minutes it was Liverpool that walked into the dressing room with a two goal lead.

Sadio Mane made it three for the visitors as he sloted the ball into an unguarded net from close range after a shot rebounds off a defender.

Roberto Firmino finally got on the scoresheet after his teammates have scored three as he collected a sweet pass and fired a low shot into the bottom left corner to make it 4-0 in favour of Liverpool.

Sadio Mane got his much desired hat-trick in the 85th minutes as he took a great first touch to control a killer pass on the edge of the box and curled the ball inside the right post in trademark fashion.

In other UEFA Champions League matchday 2 knockout clash Real Madrid came from behind to thrash Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
