Reigning Spanish and European League champions Real Madrid on Wednesday night defeated visiting Paris-Saint-Germain 3-1 in the Champions League round of 16 first tie.
But Los Blancos had to come back from a goal down to beat the French giants at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The visitors scored the first goal in the 38th minute through Adrien Rabiot, but Cristiano Ronaldo equalized for Real Madrid in the 45th minute via a penalty.
Giovani Lo Celso pulled Toni Kroos by the shirt in which the referee had no other option than to give a penalty which was converted by Ronaldo.
Ronaldo scored the second goal for Real Madrid in the 83rd minute before Marcelo scored the third goal which condemned Paris-Saint-Germain to a 3-1 defeat.
Paris-Saint-Germain will hope to upturn the result when they host Real Madrid in the second leg match in France.
