Operation Python Dance III, others to begin soon - Buratai

- The Nigeria Army will soon deploy its soldiers to combat the ongoing security threats in some part of the country

- The troops will be deployed under special forces like the Operation Python Dance and Operation Crocodile Smile

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai, Friday, February 2, announced that the Nigerian Army would soon deploy soldiers to various parts of the country to combat the ongoing threat to security in the country.

Buratai said the troops would be deployed under special forces such as Operation Python Dance and Operation Crocodile Smile.

The army chief said that the Operation Python Dance III will commence in the south east, Operation Crocodile Smile III in the Niger Delta and South West and Harbin Kunama III in the North to contend cattle rustling in that part of the country.

Vanguard reports that Buratai made this statement after leading personnel on an annual 15 kilometres route match that culminated at the Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja.

Recall that previously reported that the Nigerian army said it had arrested over 40 suspects for various offences within Lagos and Ogun states after the launch of ‘Exercise CROCODILE SMILE 2‘ by the chief of army staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai.

The army made this known through a statement on Tuesday, October 17, by the 81 Division spokesperson, Lt.-Col. Olaolu Daudu in Lagos.

According to him, so far, the troops have being carrying out routine activities associated with the exercise seamlessly along with other sisters services, security and para military agencies.
