President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja after participating in the 30th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) in Ethiopia where he was honoured as the Champion for the African Union's 2018 Anti-Corruption theme.

President Buhari’s arrival was disclosed by the presidency in a tweet on Tuesday, January 30.

"President @MBuhari has now returned to Abuja after participating in the #30thAUSummit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he was honored as the Champion for the @_AfricanUnion's 2018 Anti-Corruption theme. #PMBAtAU"

Legit.ng previously reported President Buhari departed Addis Ababa for Abuja earlier on Tuesday, January 30.

Meanwhile, President Buhari on Monday, January 29, during the AU ordinary session, canvassed for the speedy establishment of a single, unified market in Africa to increase trade, create more jobs and reduce poverty.

The president made the call while presenting Nigeria’s position in favour of the report on the establishment of a continental free trade area (CFTA) and related issues presented by President Mahamadou Issoufou of Niger Republic.
