All the highlights you missed from the 2018 Grammy Awards

The 60th annual Grammy Awards show took place on Sunday, January 28, 2018. There were a lot of surprises and shocks at this year’s event.

Popular musician Bruno Mars was the big winner of the night as he won all six of the awards he was nominated for, including album, record and song of the year. The next big winner was rapper Kendrick Lamar whose five wins included a sweep of the rap categories.

Despite a number of Nigerians being nominated, sadly none went home with the famous award. Favorites SZA and Jay Z also went home empty.

The American music industry also acknowledged the #MeToo movement during the ceremony and on the red carpet. The #MeToo movement gained ground this year as a way of protesting rising cases of sexual harassment in America. The term Me Too is used by women who have been victims of the assaults.

They were also performances from Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Childish Gambino, Kesha, Pink, Andra Day, Cyndi Lauper and Bebe Rexha.
