The former acting governor of Taraba state, Sani Danladi, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former governor and his supporters announced they would be defecting to the ruling party today, December 26, Premium Times reports.
Danladi's defection is coming less than a month after the former state acting governor, Garba Umar, defected to APC.
Dalandi, while informing the press about his plan to join APC said: “Yes as I am talking to you now, we are on our way to my local government where I will this Tuesday defect to APC, from ward level to local before state."
Danladi and his supporters will announced their defection at the Bachama ward, Karim Lamido local government area where he hailed from.
Danladi, who was recently removed from the Senate as lawmaker representing Taraba North, following a Supreme Court verdict, was reportedly not in good terms with the state governor, Darius Ishaku.

He has however denied there was any disagreement with him and the governor.
He said: “I’m not at loggerhead with anyone, but politics is all about interest, and this is where my people want me to go and bring change in the political landscape of our dear state.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that about 1500 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, on Friday, December 22, defected to the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defectors, all from Oshodi-Isolo local government area of Lagos state were welcomed into the APC by Mr Olusola Sokunle, representing the party chairman in the Oshodi-Isolo LGA, Alhaji Olamide Kasali.
The new defectors, led by a PDP chieftain in the council, Mr Fola Mosaku, and four councillorship candidates of the PDP in the July 22 council polls in the state, claimed they defected because of the good performance of the Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
