Femi Gbajabiamila, the majority leader of the House of Representatives has put a smile on the face of a physically challenged lawyer identified as Kamarudeen Idowu.

The lawmaker presented the lawyer with a Toyota Corolla. He also promised to give him a driver and pay the driver’s salary for a year.

Legit.ng gathered that the physically challenged lawyer who worked hard to finance his education all by himself lost his leg to polio at the age of three.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Idowu used to beg in different parts of Lagos to take care of himself and pay his school fees for university and law school.

Idowu who attended the University of Lagos and completed the Nigerian Law School at the Abuja campus was called to bar in 2016. He also has a degree in political science.

While presenting Idowu with the car, Gbajabiamila noted that he was moved by his story after he heard it from a magistrate in Abuja. The lawmaker said he received his number from the magistrate to track him down.

He lauded the lawyer for his commitment and determination to achieve the feat, adding that he was inspired by Idowu’s story.

Gbajabiamila explained that the decision to give him a car was the physically challenged man displayed courage, adding that the vehicle would help me move to court easily.

He said: “Apart from this car, I will get him a driver to take him wherever he wants to go. And I will pay his driver’s salary for a year.”

“Right now, I am about to sponsor a bill that seeks the allocation of jobs to those of them who are qualified and willing to work but they cannot get employment because they are discriminated against. So, the whole essence of the bill is to create opportunities for them.”

The physically challenged lawer also thanked the lawmaker for his generousity and kind-heart.
