Pro-Buhari group congratulates president at 75, says he is on a mission to rescue Nigeria

- Many Nigerians are still showing President Muhammadu Buhari love following his 75th birthday on Sunday, December 17

- His political foot-soldiers were not left out in the celebrations as a group, Ndigbo for PMB 2019, has said Ndigbo will massively vote for Buhari's re-election in 2019

- The group said God will use Buhari beyond 2019 for the betterment of Nigeria

A southeast based organisation named Ndigbo for PMB 2019, has declared that the miraculous healing of President Muhammadu Buhari and his attainment of 75 years have shown that “God has preserved him for a purpose to better Nigeria.”

In a statement sent to Legit.ng on Monday, December 18, the group revealed that plans have been concluded to stage a mega rally in Lagos by January 14, 2018, in support of President Buhari's re-election.

The statement which was signed by the national coordinator of the group, Prince Paul Ikonne, expressed optimism that God will use President Buhari beyond 2019 for the betterment of Nigeria.

While congratulating the president on his 75th birthday, Ikonne assured him that Ndigbo will massively vote for his re-election in 2019.

“On behalf of the 36 states and FCT coordinators and the entire executive members of Ndigbo for PMB 2019, I congratulate an indefatigable leader of our time, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCON on his 75th birthday.

“Mr. President, by every stretch of thoughts and considerations, this year's birthday is unique. Like always, it is another year God (Allah) proved Himself worthy of His Name as Almighty in your life by restoring your health whole and complete,” part of the statement read.

On the forthcoming mega rally, Ikonne, who is a former governorship candidate of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Abia state said: “We wish to announce that the Lagos state chapter of our organisation will be hosting a mega rally and its inauguration on the 14th of January, 2018, this will be followed by such rally in other regions.”

The APC chieftain further called on all Nigerians, particularly the Ndigbo to continue to support the administration of President Buhari and be committed to his re-election in 2019.

Meanwhile, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has described President Buhari as a man God sent to prevent Nigeria from collapsing, while congratulating the president on his 75th birthday.

Okorocha who stated this in a statement sent to journalists on Sunday, December 17, also expressed confidence that Buhari will get more votes in the 2019 presidential election than he did in 2015 polls.

He boasted that the president will win majority votes in the southeast region of the country.
