- Uche Secondus, the newly elected chairman of the PDP says the ruling APC thrives on lies and propaganda
- Secondus says Nigerians are now aware of the antics of the APC accusing it of running a broken government
- He also notes that his major task now is to resolve all grievances within the PDP
The newly elected national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Uche Secondus has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of running a broken government.
This is the second time Secondus would hit at the APC since he became the chairman of the PDP at a national convention held in Abuja recently.
Secondus said the APC run on lies, intimidation and propaganda and that the PDP will not be distracted by whatever threat the ruling party sends its way.
The Nation reports that Secondus spoke at the handover ceremony at the party’s Abuja secretariat.
According to him, Nigerians can no longer be fooled by propaganda since they now know the truth about the APC.
He said: “Nigerians can no longer be fooled by false propaganda. They will hear the truth and the truth will save the country, and not false propaganda.
“We know that the APC and their government are broken. They are running a broken government.
We need to rescue our nation from their hands and to rebuild our country once more.”
He also declared that there was no victor, no vanquished in the recently held congress of the PDP adding that his first major task is to reconcile aggrieved members.
He promised to do everything possible to rebuild the party so that it could regain lost grounds.
One of the ways to do this, he said, is for the leadership of the party, under his watch, to decentralise power to the state chapters.
