President Muhammadu Buhari has departed Nigeria for a two-day trip to Jordan in the middle east.
The Presidency confirmed Buhari's departure in a tweet on its official Twitter handle on Friday, December 1 afternoon.
The tweet read:
The president met governors of Osun, Niger and Kogi states at the airstrip.
It is however not clear at press time of the governors made the trip with him.
Legit.ng had reported earlier that President Muhammadu Buhari will join other heads of state in Aqaba, Jordan on December 2, to review strategies in fighting terrorism.
The summit would also look at ways at reinforcing joint security structures that would be more proactive in preventing attacks.
The president’s special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina said this in a statement on Thursday, November 30 in Abuja.
