R Kelly’s career spans over more than 25 years. During this time, he won 110 awards in 274 nominations in various categories. However, one of his biggest achievements yet is scoring three Grammy awards in one year.
1998 has been a good year for R Kelly, as he was nominated for five Grammys and took home more than half of them. He received this prestigious award for the Best R&B Song, Best Male R&B Performance and Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.

What did he win the three Grammys for? The song that brought him these awards is none other than the legendary I Believe I Can Fly. Even though the movie it was written for, Space Jam, was mediocre at best, the song was absolutely incredible.
To be completely honest, it remains one of our favourite songs to this day, even though it is more than 20 years old. It was great then, and it is still great today.

Since 1996, he has been consistently nominated for a Grammy almost every year. With the exception of 1998, when he managed to grab three awards, he has not won any before or after that.
