In a similar vein, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has again reiterated its call for referendum, stressing that until the Nigerian government meets its demands, there will be no election in the South East starting from the upcoming Anambra state governorship election.
Legit.ng gathered that IPOB said should its call for referendum is not met, it will use the November 2017 governorship election in Anambra state to set example for what is to come in the future.
The group’s warning was contained in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful and sent to pressmen on Wednesday June 28.
IPOB also berated the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for saying its leader; Nnamdi Kanu is parading himself like an emperor.
The group said APGA’s claim was an attempt to “deflect attention away from the fact that it has been responsible for the death of innocent Biafrans numbering over 2000 since the formation of Anambra state.”
