Previously, the Eko Hotel was thev enue for the AFW for three years succession. However, the decision to change location for the event was made. This is the next step for the African heritage and cultural background promotion on a world-wide basis.

Perhaps, you are not aware but 40 years ago, Nigeria was the hosting country for an event of universal importance – African Festival of Arts and Culture. As you might have guessed, the above-mentioned National Arts Theatre in Lagos was the venue for it. So, nothing happens by chance.

Last time, our country managed to show magnificence and splendor in all its glory. This time, according to the founder of AFWN, success was dramatic. Ronke Ademiluyi said that the iconic National Arts Theatre on the 3rd and the 4th of June was filled to the brim.

The fourth edition of the Fashion Week made its contribution to the growth of the enterprise. Now the fashion industry is going to develop the country. Those involve will need to work very hard in order to bring fashion in Nigeria to the next level. By so doing, Nigerian traditional styles will become popular worldwide.

Amira personally made a great contribution to the fashion industry in Nigeria. That’s why she was chosen to represent the face of AFWN 2017.
