Senate President Bukola Saraki accepts his chief of staff’s resignation

- The chief of staff to the Senate President Bukola Saraki has resigned

- Isa Galaudu tendered his resignation in November 2016, the special adviser to the Senate President on media and publicity said

- Galaudu's resignation is with effect from the end of January

Senate President Bukola Saraki accepts his chief of staff’s resignation

The Senate president on Tuesday, January 31, accepted the resignation of his chief of staff Isa Galaudu.

A statement by Saraki’s special adviser on media and publicity Yusuph Olaniyonu said Galaudu mentioned his decision to step down in November 2016.

Olaniyonu said the chief of staff said his decision to resign was based on personal reasons.

He said Saraki and Galaudu agreed that for end of January for the chief of staff to proceed on his final exit.

Galaudu was a former senator representing Kebbi North Senatorial District in the seventh assembly.

Olaniyonu also noted that Galaudu’s deputy Gbenga Makanjuola has been directed to act in the position pending the appointment of a substantive chief of staff.

Meanwhile, the Senate President in a tweet appreciated the outgoing chief of staff.

He also thanked Galaudu for his commitment and dedication to duty.
